THE RUNDOWN

The On Cloudboom Strike is a carbon-fiber plated race shoe engineered for explosive speed and minimal weight. Designed for serious runners chasing personal bests, it combines twin-layer CloudTec® cushioning, a Speedboard® carbon plate, and ultra-light Helion™ HF foam for powerful toe-offs and smooth transitions on race day.

Fast. Efficient. Aggressive by design.

What's new?

Designed as an evolution of the On Cloudboom Echo 3, the upgrades include a softer Helion HF foam, higher stack height and a more accommodating fit compared to its narrow, firmer predecessor.

Product FAQs

IS THE ON CLOUDBOOM STRIKE GOOD FOR BEGINNERS?

Not typically. The Cloudboom Strike is designed primarily for experienced runners who want a high-performance racing shoe with aggressive propulsion.

WHAT DISTANCES IS THE CLOUDBOOM STRIKE BEST FOR?

The shoe performs best during road races from 5K to marathon distances, where its carbon plate and responsive foam help maximize efficiency and speed.

HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO THE CLOUDBOOM ECHO?

The Cloudboom Strike offers more cushioning and a smoother ride than earlier Cloudboom models, making it better suited for longer races like the marathon.

WHAT ARE THE KEY FEATURES?

Key features include Helion™ HF superfoam cushioning, a carbon Speedboard® plate for propulsion, Bounceboard construction for added energy return, a lightweight racing upper, and CloudTec® technology for smooth transitions.

DOES THE CLOUDBOOM STRIKE FIT TRUE TO SIZE?

Most runners report that it fits true to size with a race-ready, performance fit, though the upper can feel snug during longer races.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO MAKE SURE IT FITS COMFORTABLY?

Measure your feet at the end of the day when they’re largest. Leave about a thumb’s width of space between your longest toe and the front of the shoe. Ensure the heel feels secure without slipping and the midfoot feels locked in without pressure.
