The Big Bill Foundation was established in 2021 to honor the legacy of Bill Robinson, co-founder of Fit2Run, who passed away in 2020 after battling leukemia. Bill Robinson was more than just a businessman, he was deeply committed to his community and to helping others succeed.
Today, that legacy continues through the Big Bill Foundation, created by his three sons to support young adults and children who have faced the challenge of childhood cancer. Through educational scholarships, the foundation celebrates students whose strength, perseverance, and determination inspire others.
Each recipient represents a story of resilience and hope, demonstrating that even through life’s greatest challenges, the human spirit can rise stronger than ever.

“Everything happens for a reason,” my mom told me, which made me realize that my challenges had given me resilience and inspired me to build a future defined not by my past, but by purpose… I want to show other kids that facing your challenges head-on makes you stronger and that you can choose to create your own future, no matter your past.”

“On the hospital whiteboard, I wrote ‘Just Push Through It!’—which became my personal mantra and daily reminder that got me through the next three years of pills, needles, doctor visits, allergic reactions, surgeries, unexpected hospital stays, and chemotherapy treatments.”

“Although I can now declare myself cancer-free, I’ve chosen not to be free of cancer’s role in my life. Instead, I have embraced it as a lens through which I understand the tenderness and delicacy of life… My journey through cancer will forever fuel my dedication to healing the next generation of patients.”
