What is the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 26?

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS is entering its 26th year as a stalwart in the Brooks running lineup. Being known for its consistent cushion and stability technology. The stability technology found in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 26 is referred to as GuideRails™. This is an effective medial post technology that is exclusive to Brooks footwear like in the Glycerin GTS 23 and the Brooks Beast GTS 26. A medial post is a piece of the shoe found within the arch or instep preventing the foot from overpronating. Think of the GuideRails™ as bumpers on a bowling alley, in place to keep the bowling ball within the lane and out of the gutter.

What is new in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 26?

Brooks wanted a similar feel underfoot as the previous edition, so they kept the DNA Loft v3 foam the same, but re-engineered it to make it a little firmer and more responsive. The Adrenaline GTS 26 has the same 36mm/26mm stack height, and 10 mm drop and is .2 oz heavier (men's). The main thing that Brooks changed from year to year with the Brooks Adrenaline is the upper. Swapping from an engineered mesh upper to a double jacquard air mesh upper allows for more breathability on throughout the shoe. Brooks also changed the tongue to a soft, flat-knit tongue and collar and also adding a small heel loop to make it easier to slip on. All in all, what you get with the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 26 in comparison to the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25 is a more confident, responsive feel underfoot with a slightly more breathable upper.

Who is the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 26 for?

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 26 is for the every day runners, those who are looking for a versatile shoe for daily miles, long days, or simply just for everyday life. But the Adrenaline GTS 26 is mainly for those who need extra stability in their footwear. With a price point of $154.95, it is one of the best bang for your buck stability footwear on the market.
